The RoboRocketryTeam
Labor Day, September 7th, 2009 - RoboRocketry rocket launch. What a great day for launching some rockets with fellow rocketeers! Alan, Brenda, Duane and new RoboRocketeer Miguel launched a host of rockets throughout the morning.
Brenda is shown above with her Estes Loadstar she used to complete part of her Mercury Level of the NARTREK Cadet program.
Miguel launched his Estes Outlaw to get his certificate for the National Association of Rocketry's "Fly 50,000 for our 50th Program" If you get a chance, help out the NAR and introduce some kids to rocketry. the kids will never forget it and you may be sparking interest for a future astronaut or rocket engineer.
We also had an excellent launch of the Semroc Saturn 1B on a cluster of 4 C6-3 motors, That is always a cool launch. The picture above shows the booster section returning safely to Earth.
We launched at Lincoln Park in Tucson, Arizona. We had a slight wind, but adjusted and had some excellent launches. Some more pictures will be posted on the blog later. You will also be able to see some videos of the launches by clicking here.
Among the rockets launched were the Estes Loadstar single stage, Estes Loadstar multi-stage, Semroc V-2, Semroc Saturn 1B on a cluster of 4 C-3 motors, Estes Outlaw, and the Semroc Hawk boost glider.
